GARETH ROBERTS has been President, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of Denbury Resources Inc. since 1992. Mr. Roberts founded
Denbury Management, Inc., the former operating subsidiary of the company
in April 1990. Mr. Roberts has more than 28 years of experience in the
exploration and development of oil and natural gas properties with
Texaco, Inc., Murphy Oil Corporation and Coho Resources, Inc. His
expertise is particularly focused in the Gulf Coast region where he
specializes in the acquisition and development of old fields with low
productivity. Mr. Roberts holds Honors and Master's degrees from St.
Edmund Hall, Oxford University, where he has been elected to an Honorary
Fellowship. Mr. Roberts also serves as Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Genesis Energy, LP, and as a Director for Belden & Blake
