FRANK J. HANSEN is President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of
IDEX Corporation. Mr. Hansen joined Houdaille Industries, predecessor of
IDEX, at its Viking Pump unit in 1975 and was president of this business
from 1989 to 1994. He was named vice president-group executive of IDEX
in January 1993. In August 1994, he was appointed senior vice president-
operations and chief operating officer, and in January 1998, became
president and chief operating officer. On April 1, 1999, he added the
title of chief executive officer. Prior to joining Houdaille in 1975,
Mr. Hansen spent ten years with the Hyster Company, in a variety of
management positions, including a four-year assignment in Europe(The
Netherlands, Scotland and England). Mr. Hansen holds a BS degree in
business administration from Portland State University and also serves
as a director of Gardner Denver Machinery, Inc. and a director of the
Oakton Community College Educational Foundation. Profile
