FRANK GREINKE, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of United Fuel & Energy
Corporation, became Chairman and majority shareholder of the company when he
merged SC Fuels' commercial cardlock operations with UFEN in October 2007 and
became CEO of United Fuel in June 2008. In 1987, at the age of 33, Mr. Greinke
became President of Southern Counties Oil Co. (SC Fuels), and acquired ownership
of the company in 1991. At that time, SC Fuels' operations were concentrated in
Southern California. Today, under Mr. Greinke's leadership as Chief Executive
Officer, SC Fuels and its related companies have operations in 11 western
states, serve over 35,000 customers annually and deliver commercial bulk fuels,
wholesale branded fuels and alternative fuels at competitive pricing. Mr.
Greinke currently is a member of the Executive Committee of the Society of
Independent Gasoline Marketers of America and a past Director of the California
Independent Oil Marketers Association. He is the former Chairman of the Southern
California Chapter of Young Presidents' Organization. He is also a founding
Director of The New Majority Committee, an Orange County-based mainstream
Republican organization, and former Finance Chairman of the Orange County
Republican Party. His Board experience includes being a founding member of the
Board of Directors for Pacific Ethanol Inc., an Advisory Board member for Solis
Capital Partners; a Board member of the Bank of Hemet. In May 2007, he was
appointed to the position of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Georgia.
Under the leadership of Mr. Greinke and his late father, Frank H. Greinke, SC
Fuels has the distinction of being the first company from the United States to
do business in the Republic of Georgia. Profile
