NEAL M. EPSTEIN is an Equity Analyst at Putnam Lovell Securities, Inc.,
focusing on publicly-traded asset management companies as well as
companies in other industries with significant asset management
activities. He has also served as an Investment Banking Associate,
gaining experience in financial and deal analysis, due diligence, and
transaction execution within the investment management industry. He has
participated in the analysis and due diligence efforts on various
transactions while at Putnam Lovell. Prior to joining Putnam Lovell in
1995, Mr. Epstein was an Assistant Vice President at Yamaichi Securities
& Co., Ltd.'s New York subsidiary in the Mergers and Acquisitions and
Corporate Finance Groups. Earlier he worked in Morgan Stanley & Co.'s
Tax Exempt Securities Department on the development of models to support
new refunding products. He was an assistant economist in Marine Midland
Bank's Department of International Economics, where he participated in
the analysis and forecasting of debtor nations' external accounts. Mr.
Epstein graduated from the Darden Graduate School of Business
Administration at the University of Virginia, earning a Master of
Business Administration Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in Asian
Studies. He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from
Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from
Swarthmore College. He is a Level III candidate for the CFA designation. Profile
