ETHAN SILVERMAN, General Partner, was Vice President of Institutional
Sales at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 1983 through 1991. From 1992 through
1993, he was Vice President at Wasserstein Perella Securities, where he
helped establish the equity broker/dealer business. He was a research
analyst at Steinhardt Partners from 1993 to 1994 covering the insurance
and financial services industries. From 1994 through 1996, Mr.
Silverman was Vice President and Portfolio Manager for The Travelers
Group, where he focused on nine consumer industries. With 16 years as an
investment professional on both the buy and sell side, Mr. Silverman
combines analytical skills with market judgment to manage assets. Mr.
Silverman received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1983. He was
graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Biology/Psychology in
1981. He attended The Horace Mann School. He is a member of the New York
Society of Securities Analysts. He is married to Irene Tobey, an opera
