ERIC F. BILLINGS is the Vice Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of
Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc. He co-founded the company ' one
of the most successful capital markets and private equity firms in the
nation ' in 1989 with Emanuel Friedman and Russ Ramsey. Mr. Billings is
also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FBR Asset Investment
Corporation, a REIT that invests in real estate-related assets and
securities, as well as other investment areas directly and indirectly
through investments in other companies. Mr. Billings began his career in
investment management in 1981 at Legg Mason Wood Walker & Co., Inc. In
1984, he joined Johnston, Lemon & Co., Inc. There, Mr. Billings served
as Senior Vice President and developed his portfolio management
expertise by managing a number of discretionary accounts. Mr. Billings
contributes to a variety of charitable organizations, both personally
and through the Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Charitable Foundation. He
currently sits on the Boards of Wish Friends, Inc., The Washington
Scholarship Fund, and Catholic Charities. He is the Chairman of the
Center City Consortium Capital Campaign, Co-Chair of the Cardinal's
Appeal, and a founding member of the Bethesda Big Train Baseball Club.
He was born in Boston, MA, and is a graduate of the University of
Maryland with a BA in Economics and Finance. Profile
