David M. Khani joined FBR & Co. in August 1998 as a Vice President in
the energy equity research group, following the oil and gas exploration
and production and coal mining industries. He has more than 11 years of
investment experience, including five years following various industries
in the energy sector. Prior to joining FBR & Co., he spent three years
covering 17 large-capitalization companies in the oil and gas sector at
Bear Stearns and Prudential Securities. Prior to that, he spent two
years at Lehman Brothers following 18 companies in the coal mining and
local gas distribution industries. Mr. Khani received his BA in
Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Binghamton
and his MBA in Finance and Corporate Accounting from the William E.
Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester. He is
a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research
(AIMR) and the Washington Society of Investment Analysts. Profile
