JOHN E. MCGINTY is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston,
where he specializes in the machinery and engineering construction
industries. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McGinty was a Partner and
Member of the Board of Directors at H.C. Wainwright. He is a frequent
speaker before the National Machine Tool Builders Association, the Farm
and Industrial Equipment Institute, and the Association of Equipment
Distributors. He has been named to the Institutional Investor All-
American Research Team for 25 consecutive years in the machinery field,
ranking number three in 1996. Also, in 1995, he was a runner-up in the
engineering construction field. Mr. McGinty received his BA in Political
Science from Northwestern University and his MBA from the University of
