ELLIOTT BALBERT is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and
President of Natrol Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of branded, high-
quality dietary supplements. Mr. Balbert founded Natrol in 1980 and has
guided the firm's growth to more than 300 employees, a total of 250,000-
square-feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution
facilities, and annual sales of more than $81.5 million. Mr. Balbert
attended schools in Winnipeg through the first two years of college. He
relocated to Los Angeles in 1964, and in 1967 he received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Business from California State College at Los
Angeles. Before founding Natrol, Mr. Balbert spent 10 years in sales,
operations and management in the health and beauty aids industry with
two southern California firms. He is a member of the National
Nutritional Food Association, the American Herbal Products Association
and the American Botanical Council, and he is a founder and member of
the Corporate Alliance for Integrated Medicine. His biography is
