Matthew Sheerin is a Principal in the Research Department at Thomas
Weisel Partners LLC, where he covers the electronic supply chain sector.
His coverage universe includes various pockets of the electronic supply
chain, including the EMS industry; component and connector makers and
distributors; and IT products distributors and resellers. Prior to
joining the firm in June 2000, Mr. Sheerin was Editor-in-Chief of
Electronic Buyers' News, the premier weekly newspaper in the electronics
industry, where he oversaw coverage of semiconductors, distribution,
outsourcing and supply chain management. He is a recognized authority on
the electronic supply chain, and he has been a featured speaker at
several industry conferences. Mr. Sheerin also has held financial
reporting and editing positions at several daily newspapers, including
Investor's Business Daily. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from
Thiel College and a Master of Journalism degree from the Columbia
