EDWARD A. GUTHRIE is Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief
Financial Officer of GulfMark Offshore, Inc. Prior to his
appointment with GulfMark Offshore, Inc., Mr. Guthrie served as
Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cliffs
Drilling Company, from 1992-1999. He previously served in various
financial positions with Cliffs and its former parent company
dating back to 1971. Having received a BBA degree in 1966 from
Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA degree in 1969 from Case
Western Reserve University, Mr. Guthrie remains active in alumni
affairs of both universities in addition to involvement in civic
