DONALD HILL became Chairman, CEO and a Director of Excel Technology,
Inc. in January 1996. In addition, he was President of the company from
August 1994 until February 1998. Mr. Hill had also served as CFO of the
company from January 1994 until March 1995, and was President of
Quantronix Corporation a subsidiary of Excel, from February 1992 to
November 1992. From January 1991 to October 1991, Mr. Hill was CEO of
Medstone International, Inc., a company engaged in the manufacture,
marketing and sale of shock wave therapy devices. From 1988 to 1990, he
was Director of Corporate Finance at Weeden & Co., an investment firm
and member of the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Hill served as Vice
Chairman of First Affiliated Securities, Inc. from 1978 to 1988, and
from 1966 to 1977 was a General Partner of Loeb Rhoades & Company. Profile
