Dominic Ng – East West Bancorp (ewbc)

DOMINIC NG is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of East West Bancorp, Inc., one of the largest and most respected commercial banks headquartered in Southern California. Since assuming the helm of East West in 1992, Mr. Ng has built East West Bancorp into one of the leading banking franchises in California, with leading positions in a number of key niche markets, through his innovation and entrepreneurial vision. Today, East West is the second largest independent bank headquartered in Los Angeles and the leading financial institution serving the growing Chinese-American market, and is listed on the NASDAQ National Market. Mr. Ng has long been recognized for his leadership and management skills, receiving numerous awards. He is the 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Financial Services and the 1998 recipient of the Minorities in Business Asian Corporate Multicultural Prism Award. Mr. Ng also won the 1997 Asian Business League's 'Outstanding Corporate Executive' award and the 1996 California Society of CPA's 'Outstanding Member in Industry' award. Mr. Ng also serves on the Board of Directors for ESS Technology, Inc., a leader in digital entertainment technologies. He is a member of the Board of Visitors of The Anderson School at UCLA, Board of Regents of Loyola Marymount University, Board of Directors of California Bankers Association and Board of Directors of Committee 100. Mr. Ng is also Vice Chairman of Town Hall of Los Angeles.
