DOMINIC BEHAN is Vice President of Research at Arena Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. He received his PhD in 1990 in Neuroendocrinology and Biochemistry
from Reading University, England. From 1990 to 1993, Dr. Behan was
engaged in research at the Salk Institute. His early work focused on the
isolation and characterization of a protein that modulates
neurostransmitter systems controlling stress. In 1993, Dr. Behan joined
Neurocrine Biosciences during its startup phase as a member of the early
core scientific team and directed various research programs at
Neurocrine from 1993-1997. Dr. Behan is a co-Founder of Arena and has
served as Vice President, Research since April 1997 and as a Director
since April 2000. At Arena, his scientific focus has been on the
discovery of small molecule modulators to an important class of cell
surface proteins, GPCRs, across multiple therapeutic areas. Profile
