Ric Dillon serves as a Portfolio Manager for Diamond Hill Capital Management, Inc.’s Long/Short Fund and Portfolio Manager for Diamond Hill Investment Partners, L.P., a private investment partnership. He also provides significant leadership in his role as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dillon began his investment career in 1977 with Ohio Public Employees Retirement Systems. Mr. Dillon served as a Portfolio Manager at Loomis, Sayles & Company from 1986 to 1993, during which time the Detroit office became the top-ranking Loomis office in the company. In 1988, the firm replaced the previous valuation model of 25 years with Mr. Dillon's model, now the Diamond Hill Investment Model. Additionally, the Loomis Sayles Small Cap Fund that he started in May 1991 ranked number one in its Lipper category after its first 12 months of existence; period ending May 1992. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Dillon was the President and Chief Investment Officer of Dillon Capital Management, which was acquired by Loomis, Sayles & Company, where he served as a Senior Portfolio Manager until April 2000. In May 2000, Mr. Dillon founded Diamond Hill Capital Management, Inc. Mr. Dillon earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in business administration from The Ohio State University.
