DAVID M. THOMAS is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of
IMS HEALTH, the world's leading provider of information solutions to the
pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Mr. Thomas, who joined the
company in November 2000, is responsible for all IMS HEALTH operations
worldwide. With $1.3 billion in 2001 revenue, IMS HEALTH employs 5,700
professionals in more than 100 countries. Previously, Mr. Thomas was
Senior Vice President and Group Executive at IBM. He was responsible for
the Global Personal Systems Group, where he helped lead IBM's successful
effort to become an e-business. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Thomas was
General Manager, IBM Global Industries, responsible for sales and
support of IBM's top 5,000 enterprise customers worldwide. Prior to
1996, Mr. Thomas held progressively responsible executive positions at
IBM, including General Manager, IBM North America; General Manager, Asia
Pacific; General Manager, AS/400 Division; General Manager, Marketing
for IBM North America; and President, National Distribution Division. He
joined IBM in 1972 as a marketing representative. Mr. Thomas holds an MS
in Business Administration and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the
University of Florida. He received the University of Florida's
Distinguished Graduate Award in 1996. Mr. Thomas serves on the Board of
Directors of Fortune Brands, and is an Advisory Board member of
