DAVID B. REA is President of Salem Investment Counselors. He earned a BA
degree from Wabash Colllege in 1977 and a JD degree from Wake Forest
University School of Law in 1979. In 1981 Mr. Rea earned his MBA degree
from Indiana University. He became a CPA in 1982 and was employed as a
Senior Tax Accountant at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells prior to joining the
firm in 1984. In 1987 Mr. Rea was awarded the Chartered Financial
Analyst designation. He has been active in the Clemmons and Winston-
Salem communities and has served on numerous boards and community
