DAVID C. BENOIT is Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
and Treasurer of Connecticut Water Service, Inc. He is responsible for
the development and administration of the corporation's financial
policies, plans, and programs with direct responsibility for
implementation of financial plans and relationships with lending
institutions, shareholders, the financial community and independent
auditors. Before joining the company in 1996, he was Director of
Strategic and Financial Planning at Yankee Energy, the parent company of
Yankee Gas. Yankee Gas, the largest gas utility in Connecticut, was
formed in 1989 as a spinoff from Northeast Utilities. He joined Yankee
Energy prior to its independent formation and was involved in all
financial and regulatory aspects of creating the new publicly traded
diversified gas utility and energy services company. His experience
prior to entering the utility industry was in public accounting. Mr.
Benoit has an MBA from the University of Hartford and he is a CPA. He is
a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs, the American Institute of
CPAs and the National Association of Water Companies, and serves on the
Board of the Connecticut Economic Resources Center. Profile
