Cathleen H. Nash is President and CEO of Citizens Republic Bancorp, Inc., a diversified financial services company that provides a wide range of commercial, consumer, mortgage banking, trust and financial planning services to a broad client base. Ms. Nash has more than 20 years of experience in banking. She joined Citizens in July 2006 as Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer Banking. She was subsequently named Executive Vice President, Citizens Republic Bancorp, and Vice Chair of Regional Banking, Citizens Bank. Previously, Ms. Nash was Senior Vice President, Director of Branch Banking for SunTrust Corporation, headquartered in Atlanta. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing the sales strategy of 1,700 branch locations. Ms. Nash was with SunTrust for more than 13 years, serving in a variety of positions, including Director of Retail Banking and Marketing in Florida. Prior to joining SunTrust, Ms. Nash held a number of positions for Bank of Boston in marketing and human resources. She received her MBA from the University of Central Florida and a B.S. degree in communications from Ithaca College. She currently serves on the boards of directors for several organizations, including the Consumer Bankers Association, Citizens Research Council and Business Leaders for Michigan.
