CHRISTOPHER SAMLER was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Weston
Medical Group Plc in June 1997. During the three years prior to his
appointment, Mr. Samler served as CEO of Imutran Ltd, a Cambridge (UK)
biotechnology company developing leading-edge organ transplantation
technology, and managed the sale and integration of the business with
the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis. A former British Army officer
who holds an MBA from Harvard University, Mr. Samler has extensive
experience in the healthcare industry gained with Baxter International
Inc. and Bentley Laboratories b.v., a European manufacturer of
disposable surgical apparatus. As well as serving on the Board of Weston
Medical, he is a Board member of Interactiva GmbH, the Germany
