CHARLES W. TERRY is President and Chief Executive Officer of COMTEX News
Network, Inc., the leading B2B infomediary aggregating and
redistributing nearly 20,000 stories a day from over 10,000 diverse,
global sources. He was appointed President of COMTEX in August 1994 and
CEO in September 1997. With more than 20 years of management experience
in computer-based information services, Mr. Terry has led COMTEX to 17
consecutive profitable quarters, including finishing the most recent
year with 64% revenue growth. Under his leadership, COMTEX has
successfully positioned itself as the leading B2B infomediary in the
rapidly growing digital news and information market. Prior to joining
COMTEX, Mr. Terry served 14 years with CompuServe, including serving as
General Manager of the company's Data Technologies Division. While at
CompuServe, Mr. Terry was at the forefront of the B2B use of e-mail, and
worked in a variety of areas, such as software development, product
marketing and direct sales. Mr. Terry also served as President of
Corporate Cost Management in Rockville, MD, which markets cost-
containment and decision-support software for the healthcare industry.
He received a Bachelor of Art degree from Brown University in 1973. An
active rugby enthusiast, he plays for the Washington Polltrons Rugby
