CARMAN LIUZZO is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Highwoods
Properties, Inc. He joined the company in June 1994 when Highwoods
commenced operations as a public company. He received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Accounting with honors from Virginia Tech in 1983.
Prior to joining Highwoods, Mr. Liuzzo spent four years with the
national accounting firm Peat Marwick, and then joined Boddie-Noell
Enterprises, Inc., and Boddie-Noell Restaurant Properties, Inc., a
franchisee of 350 Hardee's restaurants and a real estate investment
trust, respectively, as their Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Liuzzo's
primary responsibilities include treasury, financial reporting,
financial analysis, investor relations and accounting. Mr. Liuzzo has
served on the Parish Council, Finance Council and School Board for Our
Lady of Perpetual Help Church and as Treasurer of the Big Brother/Big
Sister agency in Rocky Mount. Profile

Mr. Liuzzo: Highwoods Properties is a suburban office real estate
