Carlos A Saladrigas – Vincam Group Inc (vcam)

CARLOS A. SALADRIGAS is the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of The Vincam Group, Inc., a company principally engaged in professional employer services, workers' compensation cost containment, drug-free workplace systems, employee assistance plans and other outsourced employer services. Before he founded Vincam, Saladrigas was Executive Vice President at CAC, Florida's oldest HMO, and previously held several positions at PepsiCo, Inc., including that of Director of Corporate Planning, Vice President of Finance & Administration for PepsiCo's largest overseas subsidiary located in Mexico, and Audit Manager for Latin American operations. Before he joined PepsiCo, Saladrigas worked for several years as consultant and auditor for Peat Marwick and Arthur Young & Co. Saladrigas, who is a CPA and CMA, holds an MBA degree, with honors, from Harvard University, and a BBA degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami. Saladrigas is highly active in Industry activities, having served as Vice-Chairman of the Institute for the Accreditation of Professional Employer Organizations and as President of both the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) and the Florida Association of Professional Employer Organizations (FAPEO). He has held numerous other posts in the trade associations and is widely regarded as a national authority on professional employer organizations and managed health care. Mr. Saladrigas was named by Gov. Chiles to serve on the Florida Board of Employee Leasing Companies, which he chaired during 1992, and is currently serving under a successive four- year term. Highly committed to community service, Saladrigas is a trustee of the University of Miami and the Rhode Island School of Design. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of St. Thomas University and Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, and has served in various committees at the United Way of Dade County. Mr. Saladrigas was named 1996 Alumnus of Distinction by the University of Miami, School of Business, and chaired the 1997 'Walk for the Cure' for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He was recently recognized by 'Hispanic Business Magazine' as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the Nation. He served on the Governor's Workers' Compensation Oversight Board, and on the Employer Advisory Group for the Florida Department of Labor, Division of Workers' Compensation. Profile
