CARL J. CHANEY is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of
Hancock Holding Company, Hancock Bank, and Hancock Bank of Louisiana. He
is responsible for the overall corporate administration and financial
planning and reporting of Hancock Holding Company and all subsidiaries.
Mr. Chaney is also responsible for all mergers and acquisitions and
corporate presentations to Wall Street and the investment community. He
oversees the Corporate Treasurer, Investment Portfolio, Investor
Relations, Auditor, compliance, and Legal departments as well as
Harrison Finance Company. Prior to joining Hancock Mr. Chaney was a PA
with Watkins, Ludlam, Winter and Stennis; Partner and Director with
Financial Institutions Group; PA with Heidelberg & Woodliff; he was a
Teller and Management Trainee for several Mississippi banks while
attending college and law school. Mr. Chaney has a Bachelors of Business
Administration, Banking and Finance, Managerial Finance from the
University of Mississippi and a Jurist Doctorate from the University of
