C.R. PALMER has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Rowan Companies, Inc., since 1972. He joined Rowan in 1953 as a
roughneck. He has held various positions with Rowan. Mr. Palmer
is also involved in industry and government affairs. He is a past
President of the International Association of Drilling
Contractors, past Chairman of the National Ocean Industries
Association, a member of the National Petroleum Council, and a
Director of the American Petroleum Institute. Mr. Palmer has BSME
and MSEA degrees from SMU. Profile

Mr. Palmer: As far as the assets of the company, they haven't really
changed that much
