BRIAN L. ROBERTS is President of Comcast Corporation. He has been
President since 1990. He joined the Board of Comcast in 1987, at which
time he held the position of Corporate Executive Vice President. Mr.
Roberts spent eight years in various management positions with Comcast
before assuming the presidency. Mr. Roberts' leadership positions in the
telecommunications industry include the Chairmanship of the National
Cable Television Association (1995-1996) and continuing membership on
NCTA's Board and Executive Committee; he is Chairman of CableLabs, the
cable industry's technological research and development organization. He
is also a member of the Board of The Bank of New York, and is a member
of the Board of Trustees of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Mr. Roberts is
a founding co-Chair of Philadelphia 2000, a nonpartisan committee that
attracted the Republican National Convention to Philadelphia ' the first
national political convention in the city in over 50 years. Mr. Roberts
is a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance of the University of
