BRIAN R. SMITH, CEO of Crossroads Systems, has over 9 years of high-end
storage and communication systems development. Mr. Smith founded
Crossroads in 1994 to address the opportunity to provide software
products and development expertise in the area of Fibre Channel. Before
founding Crossroads, Mr. Smith was employed by IBM at several
development locations (Austin, Kingston, Yorktown Heights). Mr. Smith
successfully developed and delivered FDDI and Fibre Channel hardware and
software solutions to the marketplace. In addition, Mr. Smith lead the
development of IBM's Fibre Channel products and the Fibre Channel
Systems Initiative (FCSI) profiles for TCP/IP and SCSI. Mr. Smith
currently serves on the ANSI committee developing the many standards
that make up Fibre Channel. Mr. Smith's educational background includes
an MSEE from Purdue University and a BSEE from the University of
Cincinnati. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu. Profile
