BRAD BADEAU is Senior Vice President of Trimark Financial Corporation
and President and Chief Operating Officer of Trimark Investment
Management, Inc. TIMI is the sponsor and manager of a family of 19
mutual funds and 13 segregated funds and a variety of other financial
products and services. Trimark is a leading Canadian investment company
and operates through offices in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and
Calgary. Mr. Badeau joined TIMI as a Controller in 1986, and was
appointed its Vice President in 1987, Chief Financial Officer in 1988,
and Senior Vice President in 1990. Named President and Chief Operating
Officer of TIMI in December 1996, he has overall responsibility for
TIMI's activities, including administration, information systems,
finance, sales, marketing and Trimark pensions. He is a member of
Trimark Financial Corporation's five-person senior management committee
and was appointed a Director of TFC in January 1999. In April, 1997, Mr.
Badeau was named as one of the Top 40 under 40 in the second annual
survey by 'The Financial Post Magazine'. Mr. Badeau started his career
at Clarkston Gordon, where he worked for three years , specializing in
audits of financial institutions. In 1985, he joined Eaton Financial
Services Limited as Controller for Eaton Life Assurance Company and
Eaton Funds Management Limited. Mr. Badeau earned a B.Comm. degree from
the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University. Mr. Badeau is
a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered
