Bernard Aronson is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Synplicity, Inc. Mr. Aronson comes to Synplicity from Synopsys,
Inc., where he held the position of Senior Vice President and co-
General Manager of the company's EPIC Technology Group. Prior to
Synopsys, Mr. Aronson was President of EPIC Design Technology, a
leading provider of deep submicron power, timing and reliability
analysis tools, where he took the company from an early phase in
1991 to its successful public offering in 1994. EPIC was
subsequently acquired by Synopsys in 1997 for approximately $440
million. Prior to EPIC, Mr. Aronson held the Executive Vice
President position for Zoran Corp., a semiconductor company.
Previously, he was President of ICI Array Technology, and in 1976
he founded and was President of Pico Design Inc. Mr. Aronson
received a BSEE from the City University of New York. Profile
