ARTHUR G. RITCHIE is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SAND
Technology Inc. and is one of the company's two Founders. From 1979
until SAND's inception in 1983, he was one of four principals in LGS
Data Processing Consultants Inc. (now LGS Group, recently acquired by
IBM for approximately $230 million), a Canadian IT consulting firm which
he helped start and which today employs over 2,200 professionals and has
revenues of over $200 million. From 1964 to 1979 he was employed by IBM
in Canada and South Africa in a variety of technical and management
