ANTHONY MAKUCH, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lake Shore Gold Corp.,
is a Professional Engineer (Ontario) with over 28 years of management,
operations and technical experience in the mining industry, having managed
numerous projects in Canada and the United States from advanced exploration
through production. Mr. Makuch's prior positions include Senior Vice President
and Chief Operating Officer for FNX Mining Company Inc. from January 2006 to
February 2008, and from 1998 to December 2005 he held several positions with
Dynatec Corporation, including Operations Manager and Vice President,
Operations. Mr. Makuch also serves on various Boards in the public sector, most
notably Lake Shore Gold Corp. and Tambo Mining, which is a junior exploration
company with assets in British Columbia and Peru, as well as not-for-profit
organizations: The Ontario Mining Association, Northern Centre for Advanced
Technology and Canadian Mining Industry Research Organization. Mr. Makuch holds
a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours, Applied Earth Sciences) from the
University of Waterloo in Ontario, both a Master of Science degree in
Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University in
Ontario, and, most recently, he has received his designation (ICD.D) from the
Institute of Corporate Directors' Directors Education Program at the Rotman
