ANDREW G. GALEF has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Magnetek, Inc., since 1984. He also has been the
President of The Spectrum Group, a private investment and
management firm, since its incorporation in California in 1978
and its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1987. Prior to
the formation of Spectrum, Mr. Galef provided professional
management services to companies with operating and financial
difficulties. He has served as Chairman of Aviall, Inc., Exide
Corporation and Petco, Inc., among other firms. He holds a
Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College and an MBA degree
from Harvard University. Profile
