ANDRE YVES FORTIER is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Campbell Resources Inc. He completed his classical studies at the
Sminaire de Gasp and the Collge St-Charles Garnier of Qubec.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree, he was admitted to
the law faculty of the Universit Laval. He obtained his law
degree in 1964 and was admitted to the Barreau du Qubec in June
1965. He joined Noranda Inc. at its Head Office in Toronto. He
pursued his career in various posts in Human Resources and was
nominated as Vice President, Human Resources, of Noranda Minerals
in 1986. In January 1989 he was nominated as First Vice President
of Noranda, responsible for the strategic positioning of Noranda
in Qubec. In July 1991 he became President and Chief Executive
Officer of Kerr Addison Mines Limited, a Noranda affiliate
company with investments in Minnova Inc. and Anderson
Explorations Inc., as well as an important mining exploration
property portfolio. Following the sale of its interests, he
resigned from Kerr Addison on August 31, 1993 to pursue his
involvement in mining exploration in Qubec by becoming President
and Chief Executive Officer of GoNova Explorations Inc. He also
assumes, since April 1996, the position of Chairman of the Board
and Chief Executive Officer of MSV Resources Inc., a mining
company located in the Chibougamau area. He is, since December
2000, President of Campbell Resources Inc. In June of 2001, these
three companies were merged and now operate under the name of
Campbell Resources Inc. He sits on the Board of Directors of
Mazarin inc. since January 1999 and on the Board of Southern
Africa Minerals Corporation since June 2001. He is an Honorary
Member of the Fondation de l'Universit Laval and past President
of the Board of the Conseil du Patronat du Qubec (June 1998 to
