Glen E. Tullman is Chief Executive Officer of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. He joined Allscripts as CEO in 1997 to lead the company's transition into the health care information sector. He led the initial public offering and secondary offerings of the company. Before Allscripts, from 1994 to 1997, Mr. Tullman was CEO of Enterprise Systems, Inc., a health care information services company providing resource management solutions to large integrated health care networks. From 1983 to 1994, he served in several management roles including President and Chief Operating Officer of CCC Information Services, a provider of information systems to property and casualty insurers. Mr. Tullman graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with a double major in economics and psychology. After graduation, he joined the Executive Office of the President of the United States in Washington, D.C., and later accepted a Rotary Fellowship to study social anthropology at St Antony's College at the University of Oxford in England. Mr. Tullman serves on the international board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is Co-Chairman of the National ePrescribing Patient Safety Initiative. He has been named CEO of the Year by the Illinois Information Technology Association; Ernst & Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year in the technology category for the Midwest region; and most recently, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
