ALLAN J. BRETT joined Aastra Technologies Limited in March 1996
in the capacity of Vice President, Finance. In June 1996, Mr.
Brett was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Aastra. Mr. Brett
is responsible for managing the financial records of Aastra and
ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. In addition,
Mr. Brett is also responsible for financial planning, taxation,
treasury and corporate due diligence procedures. In 1990, Mr.
Brett graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics. In
1991, Mr. Brett obtained his qualifications as a Chartered
Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Ontario. In 1996, he obtained his qualifications as a Chartered
Business Valuator from the Canadian Institute of Business
Valuators. Prior to joining Aastra, Mr. Brett was employed at
Premdor, Inc., a public company listed on the Toronto and New
York Stock Exchanges. From January 1994 to March 1996, he held
the position of Manager, External Reporting. While at Premdor,
Mr. Brett participated in acquisitions as well as equity and debt
financings. From April 1990 to January 1994, Mr. Brett was
employed with KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne, Chartered Accountants,
where he specialized in corporate finance advisory services,
including the preparation of financing proposals as well as the
valuation of businesses for acquisitions and dispositions. Profile
