ALEX YEMENIDJIAN was named Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. in April 1999. He oversees
all operations of this diversified Los Angeles-based entertainment
company, encompassing the production and distribution of motion
pictures, television programming, music, and home entertainment products
including video, DVD, and interactive media. Mr. Yemenidjian came to
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from a nine-year tenure at MGM Grand, Inc., an
entertainment, hotel, and gaming company headquartered in Las Vegas,
where he continues to serve as a member of the company's Board of
Directors. He also held the position of President and Chief Operating
Officer from 1995 to 1999. Prior to joining MGM Grand, Inc., Mr.
Yemenidjian was the Managing Partner of Parks, Palmer, Turner &
Yemenidjian, a certified public accountancy firm. In addition to his
business responsibilities, Mr. Yemenidjian presently serves on the Board
of Directors of Kirk Kerkorian's Lincy Foundation and the American Film
Institute, and serves as Chairman of the United Armenian Fund. He
received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting
from California State University, Northridge, and a Master's degree in
Business Taxation from the University of Southern California. Profile
