Todd S. Lowenstein, Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of Research, joined HighMark Capital Management, Inc., in 2001. As Senior Portfolio Manager for the HighMark Value Equity strategy, he is responsible for daily investment decisions, including monitoring existing holdings and researching new ideas for inclusion in the strategy. As Director of Research, Mr. Lowenstein oversees all of the equity research functions at HighMark. He is a member of both HighMark’s Investment Policy Committee and Asset Allocation Committee, with oversight responsibility for the firm’s asset allocation strategies, operations, accounts review and compliance. He began his career in 1990 as a senior manager at KPMG Peat Marwick in the information, communications, and entertainment group. Prior to joining HighMark, Mr. Lowenstein worked at J.P. Morgan in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Lowenstein earned a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. He is a certified public accountant, a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and an adjunct professor in the economics department at UC Santa Barbara. Profile
