Dr. Floyd Tyler is President, Founder and CIO of Preserver Partners, LLC, an investment management firm whose clients include individuals, foundations, institutions, and public and private retirement plans. Previously, Dr. Tyler was a Partner at Gerber/Taylor Capital Advisors and Director of Research and President of a $13 billion investment consulting subsidiary from 1999 to 2009. He served as Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Memphis from 1996 to 1999 and Instructor of Economics at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He has received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Dr. Tyler holds a BBA in economics from the University of Tennessee and graduate degrees from Carnegie Mellon University — M.S. in financial management — and Florida State University — Ph.D. in finance. Dr. Tyler currently serves as a board member for Methodist Healthcare Foundation, Hope Christian Community Foundation and Community Redevelopment Agency Board. His past board affiliations include Bridges, Inc., LifeBlood Foundation, University of Tennessee Alumni Board of Governors, Le Bonheur Foundation and the Memphis Shelby Growth Alliance.
