William D. Maris

WILLIAM D. MARIS, is President and C.E.O. of ASM Lithography, Veldhoven,
the Netherlands since June 1990. Mr. Maris has an extensive background
in the semiconductor industry with Philips as a member of the Management
Team of the I.C. Division with the responsibility of the industrial
activities and services. Prior to his I.C. management position, he
worked for Philips in Mexico (1970-1974) in manufacturing. In 1975-1978
William Maris worked in Korea and started a components factory as
Technical Manager, Philips, Korea. From 1979 onwards Mr. Maris was
active in the I.C. division of Philips. He achieved his university
degree in mechanical engineering in Delft, the Netherlands in 1965.
