Wendy Waugaman

Wendy Waugaman is President and CEO of American Equity Investment Life Holding Company. Ms. Waugaman served as CFO and General Counsel of AEL from 1999 to 2009. In addition, she was previously a partner in the firm of Whitfield & Eddy, PLC. Ms. Waugaman is a certified public accountant. She received her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and her BSBA (magna cum laude) from Drake University, with majors in accounting and computer information systems.
