Walter R. Young

WALTER R. YOUNG, JR., was appointed President and Chief Executive
Officer of Champion Enterprises in 1990, and elected Chairman of the
Board in 1992. He began his career with B.F. Goodrich in 1968 when he
quickly acquired a reputation as a corporate turnaround specialist. In
1983, he joined The Budd Company to head its aftermarket division. In
1987, his management skill led Wheelabrator Corporation’s rebound to
profitability. He graduated from Muskingum College with a Bachelor of
Arts degree and from Pennsylvania State University with an MBA.
