W. B. Bud Kirchner

W.B. (BUD) KIRCHNER is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
of International Aqua Foods Ltd. He took control of the company in 1987
and has successfully led the strategic diversification and expansion of
Aqua Foods that today includes fish farming operations in North and
South America as well as international marketing management. In 1994,
Mr. Kirchner received the prestigious ‘Turnaround Entrepreneur of the
Year’ award, sponsored by Ernst & Young, Canadian Business Magazine and
a number of other prominent Canadian organizations. Canada’s National
Quality Institute awarded Mr. Kirchner its ‘1996 Canada Awards for
Excellence, Entrepreneurship Award’ for his ‘vision, leadership,
commitment and innovative approach in bringing International Aqua Foods
Ltd. to the forefront of the international aquaculture industry.’ Mr.
Kirchner has served as an officer and director of a number of reporting
and non-reporting companies. He has conducted business internationally
in more than twenty countries.
