Vinicius Canheu

Vinicius Canheu, CFA, is currently a Director of Latin America Equity Research at Credit Suisse Group. He is the primary Analyst responsible for coverage of the Latin America energy stocks — oil and gas, and utilities — and previously led coverage of the Latin America infrastructure and industrial sectors. In 2011, Mr. Canheu was ranked first on Institutional Investor’s Latin America and Brazil Research Team for the electric and other utilities sector. In the previous two years, Mr. Canheu was also highly ranked in the same polls, and in 2008 he ranked third on the same poll for the aerospace & transportation sector. From 2004 to 2008 he was part of Emerson Leite’s oil and gas team, which ranked highly on Institutional Investor’s Latin America Research Team for the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector as well as its All-Brazil Team for the chemicals and oil sector. Before joining Credit Suisse Group in January 2004, Mr. Canheu was an Investment Banking Analyst covering the energy and cement sectors at Unibanco. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Escola Politecnica da Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP).
