Thomas Steipp

Thomas W. Steipp has served as the President and CEO of Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc., since August 2010. He is a senior executive with a 30-year track record of leading and transforming global technology companies. He is a proven, results-oriented leader with a history of successfully optimizing teams, operations, and processes to maximize earnings and build shareholder value. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Symmetricom, Inc. (NASDAQ:SYMM) from 1998 through 2009, Mr. Steipp led this 1,100-employee public corporation through a strategic transformation from a technology holding company model into an advanced telecommunications hardware-centered business. Prior to Symmetricom, Mr. Steipp was the Vice President and General Manager of Broadband Data Networks at Scientific Atlanta, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cable television, communications and broadband equipment. From 1979 to 1996, he held various marketing and GM positions at Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Steipp graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in electrical engineering and earned an MBA from Purdue University.
