Terry L. Haines

TERRY L. HAINES joined A. Schulman in Akron in 1965 and has been with
the company his entire business career. He moved to Chicago in 1973 and
became sales manager of that office in 1979. He transferred to Toronto
in 1983 and was named head of A. Schulman’s Canadian operations in 1986.
Returning to Akron in 1989, he was elected President of A. Schulman in
1990 and Chief Executive Officer in January 1991. He was born August 5,
1946, in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Haines attended The University of Akron. Mr.
Haines serves on the Board of Directors of FirstMerit Corporation, First
National Bank of Ohio and Ameron International Corporation. He is also a
member of the Executive Committee of The University of Akron Foundation
and a Trustee of Akron Tomorrow. Mr. Haines and his wife, Jeannie, have
two children and reside in Bath Township.
