Steven J. Geiser has served as PMC-Sierra, Inc.’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since November 2012. From October 2011 to March 2012, Mr. Geiser was CFO at Trilliant, a growing player in smart-grid communications headquartered in Redwood City, California. From September 2006 to October 2009, he was CFO at RMI, a network processor company. At RMI, Mr. Geiser played a pivotal role in the successful sale of the company to NetLogic Microsystems, a company later acquired by Broadcom. Mr. Geiser was the initial CFO at Spansion, a leader in embedded flash memory, from its formation in July 2003 through February 2006. He was responsible for the direction of all financial activities, including the successful completion of one of the largest technology IPOs in 2005. From May 1994 to July 2003, Mr. Geiser held various financial positions at Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), including Vice President of Finance for the memory division and Domestic Financial Controller for the company’s final manufacturing operations in Southeast Asia. Before pursuing an advanced degree in finance, he was a control systems engineer for Sundstrand Aerospace Corporation. Mr. Geiser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Southern California.
