David S. Spika, CFA, is Global Investment Strategist at GuideStone Capital Management, LLC . Mr. Spika coordinates the development of GuideStone Capital Management, LLC’s macroeconomic vision, which influences the structural design of the GuideStone Funds. He works with the investment team to identify suitable asset classes and makes recommendations regarding strategic weighting. Mr. Spika also represents GuideStone in client-facing activities and media interviews, which include appearing on CNBC. Before coming to GuideStone in May 2015, Mr. Spika served as the Senior Vice President and Investment Strategist at Westwood Holdings Group, where he produced market strategy commentaries and met with key clients to assist with sales efforts. Mr. Spika holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas A&M University. He is involved with both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth. Mr. Spika is a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. He also serves on several nonprofit boards, including Empowerment Outfitter Network and Faith Wears Pink, and is actively involved with many aspects of H.I.S. BridgeBuilders.
