Evan Smith

Evan Smith, Vice President, joined BB&T Capital Markets in July 2015 and follows thea REIT sector. Prior to joining the firm, he spent a combined seven years as an Equity Research Analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald and FBR Capital Markets & Co. Mr. Smith has most recently focused on the data center, office, industrial and retail subsectors, and was instrumental in developing numerous quantitative analytic tools. Prior to covering real estate, he was a Research Assistant in the FBR Consumer Equity Research Group, researching consumer hardline retailers. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. in business management from Ithaca College.
