Ronald W. Pickett, President, CEO and Chairman, started Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc., formerly Clean Wind Energy Tower, Inc., utilizing all his skills from his involvement in the construction/development industry, his energy experience and his political background as well as his success in raising funds to create the first totally green electric power-generating plant. Starting in the fall to 1967 to February 1969, Mr. Pickett served as Executive Secretary to President Lyndon Johnson’s Youth Advisory Commission, as well as Field Coordinator to the Hubert Humphrey for President campaign. Leaving the staff in 1969, Mr. Pickett started a real estate consulting firm, which lead into a development company networking his relationships made during his Washington, D.C., experience. In 1980, Mr. Pickett founded Medical Advisory Systems, MAS, which he eventually took public. Mr. Pickett’s next first-to-market public venture was buying F&E Stokers, the largest trash incinerator company in U.S. Mr. Pickett’s next entrepreneurial venture was founding a technology company, which he took public, that invented and owns the patents for transmitting Internet protocol signals over common electric lines. That company became one of the largest providers of Internet to the hospitality industry, as well as to U.S. military and numerous other clean energy settings holding licenses and approvals in 26 countries.
