Robert W. Cross

ROBERT W. CROSS has extensive experience as an entrepreneurial CEO and
in the commercialization of complex technologies. He has been President
and CEO of Nanophase for the past five years. For the previous twenty
years, he served primarily as CEO or transitional management of more
than a half-dozen developmental high-technology venture-backed
companies, including Control Video (predecessor of American Online).
Prior to that, Mr. Cross was General Counsel to Electronic Data Systems
Corp., Dallas (1968-1969), and was a corporate finance attorney with
Winthrop Stimson Putnam & Roberts in New York (1964-1968). He holds a
B.S.B.A. in Marketing Economics (1962) and Doctor of Law with National
Honors (1964) degrees from Washington University in St. Louis.
